Tuition is $785. That includes a reception and buffet dinner on opening night, a picnic lunch during the field trip to the Santa Fe Institute or School for Advanced Research, and all extracurricular activities: a hike at Bandelier National Monument (there is, however, a modest entrance fee), a group dinner at a local restaurant (we buy the food, you buy your own drinks) and a barbecue on the final evening of the workshop (drinks and food are on us). On two evenings, we'll fend for ourselves at the many restaurants and bars around the downtown Plaza.
Lodging
The workshop will be held at Inn of the Governors, just two blocks from Santa Fe's historic Plaza, and we have negotiated a very good lodging price: $179 a night, all occupancy taxes included, for a private room with bath, single or double occupancy. A full breakfast buffet and lunch are included in the price. For those staying offsite, there will be a $169 commuter fee to cover breakfasts and lunches at the hotel (or just $78 if you want only the lunches). We will provide a bulletin board for people looking for a compatible roommate. (One roommate will have to pay $78 to cover the additional hotel lunches. Breakfasts are included for both hotel guests.) Please watch Latest Updates for details as the process unfolds.
Spouses or other guests are welcome to join the hike and the Tuesday and Wednesday dinners. There is an activities fee of $75 to cover their food costs. (The opening night reception is for students only.)
Note for federal employees: The rate at the hotel, including taxes and two meals, breakfast and lunch, is $179 a night. When those items are subtracted, the basic room rate is equivalent to the government lodging per diem for Santa Fe. Let us know if you need to be billed separately for the government room rate and for meals, and we'll put you in touch with the hotel's meeting manager.
Cancellation policy: Cancellations of tuition paid by credit card are subject to a processing fee. No tuition refund can be given after April 1, unless we can fill the position from the waiting list.
The hotel requires that lodging be cancelled no later than five days before arrival.
